The padlocks of love on the Pont des Arts in Paris is special place for our girls. They had read about it in a very cool travel book for kids, and begged us to take them there. We passed it a few times before actually stopping to admire the people who had been before us to leave a lock of love. Watching the people pass us by, the boats going under the bridge, and the rather funny artist that took quite a shine to Keira and gave her an art work on an oil paint rag that now hangs in her bed room. The smallest things can leave the biggest impression on my kids.

I haven’t really shared very much from that trip yet. Keeping it locked away just for us to visit. Such a special time that was pure joy, sure it was cold you can tell in the photos, but really who cares when you’re in Paris. We had a wonderful time and the only thing I would change if I could, would be Craig working so much, but hey then we wouldn’t have been there at all. Grateful so very grateful!

When I was a kid I dreamed of going to Paris and travelling the world, I feel so very blessed to have taken my two girls there with their Daddy. We hope to go back one day soon and check on our little lock. xxx Thanks for popping by. I promise to share more of our trip soon x Enjoy x Jodes

Pont de Arts Paris

  • Kirsty - So wonderful Jody – and took me back to our trip – I WISH we’d left a lock – we were too disorganised and there were no sellers there when we went – lovely to see 2 other little well travelled sweeties who loved Paris too 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Jody - Kristy the lock for us was an after thought too. The girls just wanted to visit and standing on the bridge asked mummy can we leave oen too. Ekkk Craig came to the rescue and found us a lock from a book seller and the artist had the pen we used to write on it. I loved seeing the photos of your recent trip to Paris and Rowes photos from her there now. It sure does make me want to go back. Thanks for popping by x We must cross paths one day soon on our travels xReplyCancel

  • Sam Taylor - What a gorgeous memory for you all to share xxReplyCancel

  • rowe - i think we went to the exact same bridge when i was there but i didnt get time to leave a lock… im hoping to take audrey next year and let her do it! can you imagine how many keys are at the bottom of that river? such a magical city to take little girls! i really only took instagram photos… you must share more paris images!ReplyCancel

    • Jody - Thanks Rowe for popping by. Yes we were on the same Bridge 🙂 I took some gorgeous images I’m yet to share, in time I promise. Having the girls with me and seeing the city through their eyes was truly a awesome adventure. I didn’t take as many photos as I wished, but I did enjoy the trip immensely. More special then any other visit I have had the the city of love xxx Grateful for eternity xxxReplyCancel

Time goes so quickly and it can not be frozen, however sometimes I so wish it could be. You know when life feels so good you could bottle it and save it for a later date, knowing it will be rocky every now and then – that’s what makes the good times so good.

I watch my girls grow and I think where has the time gone? How can it feel so long sometimes, but then looking back so fleeting! I adore being in the present with them, but I try to balance that with observing and capturing the moment to reflect upon, to share with family and friends, but most importantly to keep and record the memories for when I’m long gone.

The photo shoot I share with you was a slice of time that was pure joy, and I’m so very grateful that they chose me to capture it. I think you can feel it in the images. You can feel the beauty and freedom of this special little girl and her mother. The images speak for themselves, and I can not do it justice trying to capture it in words. Simply I’m much better with my camera than I am with the written word.

Thank you for dropping by. I wish you love and happiness xxx Pop back soon X Jodes

Spring has arrived, and with it the light. Oh how I love the warming sun, springs fresh air, the blossoms and the fun that it all brings.  These few photos were taken on the fly as we drove to a friends house for a BBQ on the weekend. I just couldn’t resist capturing the thick honey sunset. Wishing you love xxx Jodes

Last year I was extremely fortunate to attend a  Jinky Art Workshop with Barb Uli, which I just loved – every second of it – and learned so much. Since then I have continued to learn with the talented people that have attended her course – thank you Barbs for keeping us going, your energy is amazing!

This last assignment was to collaborated with another past attendee. I was paired with a very talented Italian photographer Michela Magnani! Together we came up with the inspiration and theme of our photo shoot ‘Around the world in 80 days’ – you can see Michela’s photo shoot here – it’s just dreamy and so beautiful, I adore so many elements of her work xxx Well done and thank you for your time and creative energy Michela.
