Day Thirteen

I took a few photos that were strong contenders for todays image, until I was walking up the hallway this evening when I glanced in the girls room to see this little scene. I couldn’t help myself, dashed off to grab the camera, bumped up the ISO to compensate for the dark light (hence the grain – I kinda like it that way though), the pleasure they get from having him all to themselves is priceless. They idolise, if not worship him. Love is seen in it’s purest form. Whilst far from technically perfect, it’s my perfect photo for our life today.

Day Twelve

Today marks the last day of having Daddy around all day every day 🙁 . Summer holidays are coming to an end and I’m just not ready yet, no not yet! I’m not ready for school to go back, (ekk scream 2 weeks and 1 day, help me) It’s been three blissful weeks of holidays and it has been the best gift, and we know how lucky we are. It will be sad in the morning and with heavy hearts when he heads back to the office.

This photo for today really is the girls – they are like little monkeys, and this was such a pearler to capture them this way being completely them.

Day Ten and Eleven

I’m posting 2 days as yesterday was a full on day at Seaworld, needless to say we were all exhausted afterwards. What a wonderful day out for the family, way too much fun now the kids like the big roller coasters.

Today, day 11 was far more quite with a birthday party for a friend, followed by some quiet time together drawing. It’s nice to go out, but equally nice to say at home and just hang. Feeling so very lucky xxx

Day Nine

Today was more of the same playing, reading, riding our bikes, hanging out together enjoying the fact that Dad is still on holidays. I’m so thankful that he’s still with us on holidays. Life feels complete – we feel complete.

PS I especially love this photo of Keira, hot and sweaty with the stickiness of summer here in Queensland. A cute and mischievous glint in her eye. Always full of life and filled with emotion.
