je t’aime Paris November 2011

The padlocks of love on the Pont des Arts in Paris is special place for our girls. They had read about it in a very cool travel book for kids, and begged us to take them there. We passed it a few times before actually stopping to admire the people who had been before us to leave a lock of love. Watching the people pass us by, the boats going under the bridge, and the rather funny artist that took quite a shine to Keira and gave her an art work on an oil paint rag that now hangs in her bed room. The smallest things can leave the biggest impression on my kids.

I haven’t really shared very much from that trip yet. Keeping it locked away just for us to visit. Such a special time that was pure joy, sure it was cold you can tell in the photos, but really who cares when you’re in Paris. We had a wonderful time and the only thing I would change if I could, would be Craig working so much, but hey then we wouldn’t have been there at all. Grateful so very grateful!

When I was a kid I dreamed of going to Paris and travelling the world, I feel so very blessed to have taken my two girls there with their Daddy. We hope to go back one day soon and check on our little lock. xxx Thanks for popping by. I promise to share more of our trip soon x Enjoy x Jodes

  • Kirsty - So wonderful Jody – and took me back to our trip – I WISH we’d left a lock – we were too disorganised and there were no sellers there when we went – lovely to see 2 other little well travelled sweeties who loved Paris too 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Jody - Kristy the lock for us was an after thought too. The girls just wanted to visit and standing on the bridge asked mummy can we leave oen too. Ekkk Craig came to the rescue and found us a lock from a book seller and the artist had the pen we used to write on it. I loved seeing the photos of your recent trip to Paris and Rowes photos from her there now. It sure does make me want to go back. Thanks for popping by x We must cross paths one day soon on our travels xReplyCancel
