Spring has arrived, and with it the light. Oh how I love the warming sun, springs fresh air, the blossoms and the fun that it all brings. These few photos were taken on the fly as we drove to a friends house for a BBQ on the weekend. I just couldn’t resist capturing the thick honey sunset. Wishing you love xxx Jodes

Last year I was extremely fortunate to attend a Jinky Art Workshop with Barb Uli, which I just loved – every second of it – and learned so much. Since then I have continued to learn with the talented people that have attended her course – thank you Barbs for keeping us going, your energy is amazing!
This last assignment was to collaborated with another past attendee. I was paired with a very talented Italian photographer Michela Magnani! Together we came up with the inspiration and theme of our photo shoot ‘Around the world in 80 days’ – you can see Michela’s photo shoot here – it’s just dreamy and so beautiful, I adore so many elements of her work xxx Well done and thank you for your time and creative energy Michela.

Love this session! So creative for boys! The cardboard boxes are just fabulous.
Living through the eyes of a child reminds you to just be in the moment, be curious, light hearted, full of excitement for the little things. I have the absolute pleasure of working around children and it helps to keep the spark that sometimes gets dampened by the day to day chores of an adult life.
This precious sweet angle was such a joy to capture. I know she is the apple of her Mother and Father’s eye. So so precious! Thank you for inviting me into your home and into your life to capture your darling little girl.

Today I woke up rushed around like a mad woman packing lunches, helped dress the kids and did their hair, it was a reluctant start back to school for all involved. It was hard restarting the well oiled machine again – the 5 days a week routine is something I love to give up for the school holidays. Alas it is over and a new term is here.
Right to get back to work, my crazy day had a wonderful start. I was thrilled that Sarah from Castle Design said she would be featuring Jody Ryan Photography on her blog, you can check it out over here!
